## **What is Curve Fronted?**

Curve Fronted empowers you to pay with your Curve debit card by using an underlying credit card in situations where the merchant wouldn’t normally accept credit cards.

The 2.5% service fee helps us cover the costs of those transactions so you can take advantage of this feature and keep your spending records in one place. The fee is charged instantly – the total sum along with the fee will be displayed in the ‘Wallet’ tab under the same transaction.

Curve Pay Pro and Curve Pay Pro+ customer have a fee-free limit on Fronted transactions:

* Curve Pay Pro customers aren't charged a fee for the first £1,000.00 they spend per calendar month via these types of transactions **(we charge a 2.5% service fee on the total transaction value in excess of the limit)**.
* Curve Pay Pro+ customers aren’t charged a fee for the first £3,000.00 they spend per calendar month via these types of transactions **(we charge a 2.5% service fee on the total transaction value in excess of the limit)**.

Also, you won’t be able to earn Curve Cash with Curve Fronted transactions.

Fronted fees and Fronted fee-free limits are calculated and charged based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

❗️ Please note, making changes to your subscription won’t reset your fee-free spending. Any spending you’ve already done will count toward your new fee-free spending limit.

## **Curve Fronted spending limits**

Curve Fronted transactions will be subject to the same general spending limits as visible in your Curve app (there are no separate spending limits for Curve Fronted). Curve may set additional controls and limits to manage the risk, particularly with respect to cash recycling, financial vulnerability due to perpetuating debt, money laundering, fraud or security concerns.

In case you need to increase your Curve spending limits, please get in touch and we’ll give you a hand.

## **How do I turn Curve Fronted on / off?**

Curve Fronted is an opt-in feature, so **if you have a Curve debit card**, you can turn it on or off whenever you want. To do this, open the “**Fronted**” applet within the “**Launchpad**” tab, third row down and tap the toggle to turn Curve Fronted on or off.

**For Curve Credit card holders**, it’s a bit different. Instead of turning Curve Fronted on / off, you’ll be able to generate a one time use debit card to be used to make purchases using Curve Fronted.

To generate this card, open the “**Fronted**” applet within the “**Launchpad**” tab, third row down and tap “**See card details**”. Then enter the card information visible on the next page when making your purchase.
